Thanks for your post, it's actually been extremely useful. It definitely looks like it's all applied directly to the gown itself, and isn't woven after all. ~headdesk~ Figures! lol Though, now that you mention it, it really does look like it could be woven peyote style. Hmmm...now my wheels are turning. lol
I already know I'll have to postpone this costume until next year's Vegas convention, but if I do, then there's no reason I shouldn't have it finished in time. :D Now I just need to find someone to be Captain Proton!Mistress of Disguisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12026149318569869306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440011596489093932.post-37299517034399309512011-06-26T08:24:04.059-05:002011-06-26T08:24:04.059-05:00I've SO wanted to make this for a Halloween co...I've SO wanted to make this for a Halloween costume (for several years now). Thanks for finding some real (full length shots)! The beading, however, is very much beyond my amount of free time.

I'm curious what loom technique you'd use? The nonuniform way the beads lay seem to reflect being sewn directly to the base dress or remind me a bit of the peyote method. I suppose it could just be the weight and drape of it... (now you've got me thinking crazy hard)

I can't wait to see your process/results!graverobbergirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13863800265600683329noreply@blogger.com
